1.Are the September exams going ahead

Yes, we are currently working alongside our exam delivery partners in preparation for delivering the upcoming September exam session in as many countries as possible.

2.Are all September’s exams being run in ACCA exam centres

No, due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic we have made the decision in a number of countries to offer the exam contingency option of remotely invigilated exams initially piloted in July. In these select countries ONLY remote exams will be run.

3.If there is a change in situation prior to the exam session, how will students be kept notified

We’ll provide any key exam session updates, including unavoidable cancellations, via email. Please ensure you check the email box for the email address recorded on your ACCA account frequently for any updates.

You can check your registered email address by logging into your myACCA account and clicking My Details, then selecting Contact Details. Please ensure your email address is kept updated.

4.What is the September exam session timetable

The September exam session will begin on 7 September as originally scheduled. The September exam timetable can be found here.

5. With living in Covid-19 as the new normal, how ACCA exams are organised in mainland China

Our primary concern is to ensure the health and safety of our candidates and test day staff. Therefore, ACCA and the British Council have been closely following the development of COVID-19 in Mainland China and relevant policies and guidance from the local authorities in order to conduct ongoing and careful evaluation on our exams arrangements at different test venues and make adjustments where necessary. As ACCA’s strategic partner in exams administration, the British Council has developed detailed, robust exams administration procedures and precaution measures compliant with relevant requirements in various aspects, such as precondition for exam delivery, exam venue set-up, exam venues’ ventilation and sanitisation, temperature check, personal protection, and epidemic prevention supplies etc. In addition, all test venue partners have been in close liaison with respective local authorities to satisfy the requirements in hosting ACCA exams, such as event information logging and reporting.

6. What if wearing a face mask is mandatory at my exam centre but I am unable to wear one due to an underlying health condition

Any students in this situation must notify ACCA of their exemption prior to the exam via , so that we can check with your exam centre if it is possible to permit access without wearing a mask.

7. Will I be allowed to wear a face visor during my exam

Yes, students will be permitted to wear a face visor during their exam, where local government guidance permits this.

8. Will my temperature be taken at the exam centre on the day

All students should be aware that as a high temperature is one of the most common symptoms of Covid-19, your temperature may be taken before you are granted access to the exam hall on the day.

9. What date will I be able to amend my September exam entry until

Students will be able to make exam entry amendments until their standard entry deadline. More information on the various standard entry deadlines for September can be found by clicking here and navigating to the September section.

10. What if I am unable to attend the September exam

Any students in this scenario should follow the standard exam withdrawal process as per the guidance midway down the main exam FAQs section of the website, which is given under the FAQ titled: ‘What happens if I enter an exam and then can no longer take it?’.

If you are unable to attend due to Covid-19, please submit your request with supporting documentary evidence, which may include a medical letter, relevant screenshot of a health tracing app, information of a high risk area impacting your exam attendance plans or other.

11. When will September exam attendance dockets be released

Dockets will be released later in August and students will be notified via email once these are available for your location.

An update will be provided here when a more specific date can be given.

12. What if the exam booking details on my docket are different to those held on the exam planner, which one will be correct

The exam attendance docket provides students with the final exam booking details each session and should be used by students as confirmation of their exam time/date and address.

If your exam booking details change for any reason after dockets have been released, we will update you via email and provide your new booking details. You should then download a new copy of your docket.

13. If my exam venue details have not yet been confirmed on the exam planner, when will the details be provided

Due to the increased complexity of delivering an exam session during a pandemic, we are still working towards confirming the venues in certain locations.

We are aiming for all venues being confirmed ahead of exam dockets being released. If this is not possible for your location we will notify you by email in advance. Please ensure you check the email box recorded on your ACCA account frequently.
